Las elecciones municipales de mayo de 2007 constituyen el punto de partida para analizar las principales novedades acontecidas durante el último año en el Gobierno Local. El siguiente punto de inflexión lo constituyen los Estatutos de Autonomía que ya han entrado en vigor o que se encuentran en tramitación en el Parlamento sin olvidar el Anteproyecto de Ley básica del Gobierno y la Administración local y la reciente Sentencia del Tribunal Constitucional 240/2006 que resuelve el primer conflicto en defensa de la autonomía local.
The municipal elections of May 2007 are the starting point for analyzing major developments occurred during the past year in the Local government. The next turning point is the Statute of Autonomy which have already come into force or are in the pipeline in Parliament without forgetting the Draft Basic Law of the government and local Administration and the recent Constitutional Court Decision 240/2006 that resolves the first conflict in defense of local autonomy.
