Relatoría general. Protección jurídica de la libertad religiosa: “Avances y retrocesos”

Esta Relatoría General sirvió de marco introductorio al XV Coloquio del Consorcio Latinoamericano de Libertad Religiosa 2015 sobre el tema “Protección jurídica de la libertad religiosa. Avances y retrocesos”. Su contenido se divide fundamentalmente en tres apartados. En el primero se aborda una cartografía de la pluralidad religiosa en el mundo; el segundo refleja la realidad actual de la protección de la libertad religiosa a nivel internacional: entre graves violaciones y déficit de protección jurídica; y el tercero se concreta a la relevancia de protección de libertad religiosa en países de América Latina.

This General Report served as introductory framework to the XV Symposium of the Latin American Consortium of Religious Freedom 2015 on "Legal protection of religious freedom: Advances and Regressions". Its content is mainly divided into three sections. In the first is addressed a mapping of religious pluralism in the world; the second reflects the current reality of the protection of religious freedom at international level: between serious violations and lack of legal protection; and the third refers the specific relevance to the protection of religious freedom in Latin America.
