La cuestión de la simbología religiosa en el Reino Unido

El presente trabajo analiza la cuestión del derecho al uso de simbología religiosa, especialmente de carácter personal, cuando se encuentra en contraste con algunas normas que en principio prohíben ese uso. El autor estudia los principales casos decididos por los tribunales ingleses a la luz tanto de la legislación británica -especialmente la Human Rights Act- como de la jurisprudencia del Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos de Estrasburgo.

This paper analyzes the question of the right to the use of religious symbols, especially those of personal nature, when there is a conflict with some legal rules that in principle do not allow those symbols. The author studies the main decisions of the English courts in the light of the British legislation -especially the Human Rights Act- as well as of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
