Las ediciones castellanas de las obras de Lutero
El autor señala las causas por las que España dio la espalda a la reforma religiosa propuesta dentro del cristianismo por Lutero, cuyas ideas y principios iban a conformar mentalidades nuevas en Europa. El rechazo del Reformador alemán, presentado como anti-español desde los tiempos de Felipe II, impidió la lectura y traducción al castellano, situación que se agravó con la inclusión de sus obras en el Índice de libros prohibidos de la Inquisición española. La labor de traducción al castellano de Lutero, iniciada por Francisco de Encinas (1518-1552), no llegará hasta el siglo XX, con el surgimiento de un nuevo contexto social, político y religioso. La parte central del trabajo de Lazcano está dedicada a la exposición de las ediciones existentes en castellano de las obras de Lutero, sus promotores, traductores y editoriales. Se ofrecen también las ediciones castellanas en formato digital, y las interesantes aportaciones de Gabriel Tomás, el último editor y traductor de nuevas obras Lutero en castellano.
The author points out the causes for which Spain turned its back on the proposed religious reform within Christianity by Luther, whose ideas and principles were to shape new mindsets in Europe. The rejection of the Reformer presented as anti-Spanish from the time of Felipe II, prevented the reading and translation into Castilian, situation that was aggravated with the inclusion of his works in the Index of prohibited books of the Spanish Inquisition. The work of translation into Castilian of Luther, initiated by Francisco de Encinas (1518-1552), will not arrive until century XX, with the emergence of a new social, political and religious context. The central part of the work of Lazcano is dedicated to the exhibition of the existing editions in Castilian of the works of Luther, its promoters, translators and publishers. Also available are the Castilian editions in digital format, and the interesting contributions of Gabriel Tomás, the last editor and translator of new Luther works in Castilian.
