Local action plan addressed to local authorities and proximity police for tackling racism, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance

The PROXIMITY project (Proximity policing against racism, xenophobia and other related intolerance) co-funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme of the European Union, was led by the Spanish Observatory of Racism and Xenophobia (OBERAXE) with the partnership of 9 different European countries, with the objective to improve the role and the efficiency of the authorities and law enforcement officials to fight racism, xenophobia and other related intolerance and in agreement with the European Union values regarding the rights of minorities.
The Local Action Plan of the project has been published, to provide the different local actors and proximity police the tools and knowledge to strengthen their role in the neighborhood, area or community where they develop their work.
