Memoria de otra epidemia: Madrid 1865. Reflexiones ante la actual pandemia

Sería conveniente destacar y hacer presente a la sociedad cual ha sido y es la respuesta de los notarios a la especial situación creada por la pandemia del coronavirus que padecemos. Nuestros compañeros han afrontado con valentía y responsabilidad el ejercicio de sus funciones y la prestación de su servicio. El Consejo y todos los Colegios Notariales han adoptado las medidas precisas para asegurar la correcta prestación de la función notarial, hecho reconocido por la sociedad y por la Administración. Sin embargo, no basta con tener buena conciencia de lo hecho, sería interesante valorar con perspectiva de futuro las medidas adoptadas y las previsiones tomadas y estudiar también, desde la perspectiva que ofrece la diferente documentación notarial, el reflejo que ha tenido la epidemia en todos los ámbitos de la vida.

It would be useful to raise public awareness of what the response of notaries has been to the special circumstances created by the coronavirus pandemic that we are experiencing. Our colleagues have performed the tasks and provided their services with courage and responsibility. The Council and all the Notarial Associations have adopted the measures necessary to ensure that the notarial function is undertaken appropriately, and these measures have been recognised by society and by the Government. However, awareness of the actions taken is insufficient. It would be useful to examine the measures adopted and the precautions taken from the perspective of the future, and to study the impact that the epidemic has had in all areas of life from the perspective provided by various types of notarial documentation.
