Las relaciones presenciales están siendo sustituidas por las no presenciales En la sociedad de la información. El uso masivo de aparatos y programas electrónicos son los causantes de este fenómeno. La Administración Pública lleva décadas diseñando un sistema de comunicación seguro que pretende sustituir al papel por el soporte electrónico. Las relaciones empresariales están siguiendo en sus relaciones la estela abierta por la Administración.
En este artículo se analiza si los mensajes cortos enviados a traes de teléfono móvil (SMS) cuentan con la suficiente seguridad jurídica para ser usados como instrumento y medio de notificación. La primera parte de este artículo estudia las premisas establecidas del sistema de comunicación seguro proyectado por la Administración Pública y su uso en las relaciones empresariales; la segunda, se expone las características técnicas del SMS para su utilización en un canal comunicación seguro; y la tercera, el reconocimiento del uso del los SMS como medio de notificación.

Face-to-face relationships are being substituted by virtual ones in the information society. This is due to the massive use of electronic devices and programs. The Public Administration has spent decades designing a secure communication system that aims at replacing paper by electronic transmissions. Business relationships are also following up in its wake.
This article examines whether the short messages sent to bring mobile phone (SMS) have sufficient legal security to be used as a tool and means of notification. The first part of this article examines the established premises secure communication system designed by the Public Administration and its use in business relations; the second, the technical characteristics of SMS as a secure communication channel; and the third, the acceptance of the use of SMS as a means of notification.
