A pesar de que la tendencia a unificar las distintas formas de curatela existentes en Roma (cura debilium personarum, cura bonorum, cura absentis, curator hereditatis iacentis, curator ventris) en un régimen unitario, dificulta el estudio de la materia, la curatela del furiosus y del prodigus se configura como una institución de protección flexible, aplicable a supuestos en que la capacidad de los sujetos no es asimilable.
In spite of the tendency to unify the different existing forms of guardianship in Rome (cura debilium personarum, cura bonorum, cura absentis, curator hereditatis iacentis, curator ventris) in a unitary regime, makes harder the study of the matter. The guardianship of furiosus, and the spendthrift are constituted as an institution of flexible protection, applicable to the cases in which the ability of the subjects is not assimilable.
